Best Time To Visit

June to September : During this time the sky is clear Sunny, Dry and atmospher is little bit cooler. This time is perfect for outdoor activities like trekking, horse riding and  camping in the mountain area. In September tourist can visit Gobi desert where they can see stunning scenery with golden hues and Altai Mountains.

Main Festivals :

1. Naadam Festival : 
Significance : This is mongolia's most important festival and biggest National celebrations. This Festival is celebrated annually from 11th to 13th of July. In this festival the traditional Sports known as "Three Manly Games" is played which includes Wrestling, Horse Racing and aArchery. In this festival traditional military procession, musical performers and acrobatic shows and feasting is performed.
This festival is a UNESCO recognised intangible cultural heritage and show Mongolian nomadic culture.



2. Tsagaan Sar Festival : 
Significance : This festival is celebrated as the Mongolian lunar new year and most important family festival in Mongolia. This festival is celebrated in January or February in which families visit each other, exchange gifts (traditional khadag) and eat large quantity of food specially dumpling call as Buuz. This festival is similar as like Christmas or Chinese new year.



3. Golden Eagle Festival :
Significance : This festival is celebrated in October in which a traditional kazakh hunting practice held in western Mongolia. In this festival horse races, features falconry and other traditional game with trained Golden Eagles are performed. Participants in this festival release trained eagles to catch prey while riding on horseback.



4. Thousand Camel Festival : 
Significance : This festival is celebrated in the March. This festival shows the importance of Bactrian camel to Nomadic life in Mongolia and celebrating the culture of Gobi region.
